The Lowest Bid

I have serious mad online shopping skills.  I enjoy the comfort of being at home and finding great deals in my pj's.  And because we don't have a sephora in our local shores it only makes make up hunting more adventurous and exciting.  When I've finally decided on what I want to get I go on a mad search for the lowest price out there and trust me I've done the clickwork (you know, click, mouse clicking).  I wait for weeks on end 'til a flash or blog sale comes up or until I've scoured every online shop to find the lowest price of the specific item I want.  It's hard work, but with great pay off.

So this past week I went on a crazy online shopping spree that literally broke my wallet.  I'm serious.  My wallet is now 2 pieces.  And I've decided to share with you all where I got my covetable items at the lowest prices from all or most of the online suppliers.  Cos I mean what are girlfriends for, right?  I may or may not give mini reviews on the items because most of them are things that I'm sure most of you already want.  So without further adieu, here's item # 1 of this week's crazy shopping spree.

1.  Real Techniques Limited Edition Duo Fibre Collection

Price: Php 950.00 from Php 1,150.00 (Payday Sale)

Botegga Lusso

I got this on a payday sale from Botegga Lusso.  From Php 1,150.00 it dropped to a whopping Php 950.00.  With the Php 200.00 I was able to save I bought 2 large milk teas for me and my mommy. :)

2. MAC Strobe Cream

Price: Php 650.00, retail price Php 1,800.00

This item has been both intensely loved and hated on the internet.  I decided to make the purchase so I can use it on my mom who has dry, mature skin.  Of course I don't mind using it on myself either.  I specifically used it on a 2 concert day and I am proud to announce that it worked extremely well even with my oily skin.  It gave me the glow I wanted even with the matte foundation I used.  I scored this off of @beautybazaarph and the owner was very kind and accommodating.  Her items are more high end and they are either BNIB (brand new in box) or pre-owned with almost 90-95%.  She sells great items that you can get for a steal!  Like literally more than half the actual price and they are guaranteed authentic.  There is a catch however.  She maintains no reservation and the first to make the deposit gets the item.  So imagine me at 7 in the evening roaming the streets for an open BDO to "win" the MAC Strobe Cream.  And gladly, I did.

3. Marilyn Rain Boots

Price: Php 1,320.00

Everybody keeps saying that since Ondoy happened the flood situation and the country has changed.  So I made sure I won't ever have to fret.  Not unless I didn't bring this bad... um... girl along.  Meet Marilyn on my rain boots.  If you know Plueys these are great alternatives.  They're cheaper but with the same durability and cuteness factor.  These babies will make sure I won't be late even on a stormy day appointment.

4. Lorac Pro Palette

Price: Php 2,500.00, other stores Php 2,800.00

Another purchase from Botegga Lusso because I can't get enough of how friendly their prices are and how fast the transaction was.  I've wanted this since Make up by Leina showed it in one of her tutorials.  Now even Shaaanxo has claimed it one of her best neutral palettes.  Need I say more?  You know you want it.

5. Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set and Lash Brow Groomer

Price: Php 950.00 for Core Collection Set, Php 395.00 for Lash Brow Groomer

Lipstick All U Can

I was fixed on getting this from a different online store because they offered the set for Php 989.00.  But, a quick trip to sulit.com.ph led me to another online store that sells them for only Php 950.00.  Now you might think there's not much I can do with the Php 39.00 I saved but still the Ilocano inside me was happy that I did.  Now I'm thinking of getting the Real Techniques blush brush which they're selling for Php 550.00.  Because I saved Php 39.00 on this purchase I'll only need Php 511.00.  The Lash Brow Groomer I've been eyeing for a really long time because no lash comb has been able to separate my eyelashes thoroughly.  This one absolutely does.  And... you can get it for only Php 395.00

6.  Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss in Shade 101

Price: Php 380.00

I admit this probly wasn't the cheapest I could get it but I did like the accessibility.  Sometimes I don't like waiting for my purchases.  It destroys the instant gratification which you are allowed to feel when you buy makeup that's just a little too expensive.  I especially am not a fan of waiting in line in a bank to do my deposit.  That's why I still think this was a good bargain because I got my lipstick right away and I was able to test it out before buying.  Now who doesn't know how to get to Trinoma?  Next time you're in the area check them out at Pop Culture at the 2nd level.  I swear... it's the closest thing you can get to a sephora in the north.

So that about wraps it up.  I'm planning to go on a 50 day spending ban (100 seems too extreme) but I am waiting on the Chedelyn Cosmetics Collection sale on Sep 14 and 15 before riding that out.  I hope this was helpful to all you ladies who want more bang for your buck.  Or more makeup for your buck.  Catch you later! :)
